Who are we
Formed in March 2014, the Parent Association (PA) of the International School Breda (ISB) is an advisory body consisting of enthusiastic volunteer members. All members are parents of a child or children currently attending the ISB, ranging from Nursery, Primary and Secondary years.
The ISB PA is a non-profit organisation with its main objective being to develop effective relationships between the school, parents and others associated with the school. The PA is actively engaged in varied activities, across all year groups, which aim to bring school, parents and students closer together. Through its fundraising ability the PA also supports the ISB by providing facilities and equipment to advance the education of the students, adding interest and fun to the learning process.
With the ISB’s rapid growth a more formal approach to engaging parents with the school’s curricular and extra-curricular activities is needed. As the school is partly government funded, keeping school fees at a competitive level, by raising additional funds for activities and events is a much needed form of support that contribute to the provision of valuable extras that will benefit all ISB students.
The PA consists of 10 members holding 10 different nationalities and 6 spoken languages include English, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and French. Our Dutch speaking are very willing to help any parents with one-off translation services of any Dutch written information you may receive.
If you are interested in becoming actively involved as a member or would like to help out with future projects or events, or have ideas to raise funds, please contact the school or a member of the PA. You can email us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org or fill in the following application form and leave it on our mail box in the School next to the Reception:
