The ISB Parent Association (PA)  is a non-profit organisation made up of enthusiastic volunteers with the goal of helping to foster a sense of shared community between the school, parents and others associated with the ISB. 

It was formed in 2014 by a group of parents who were looking to help grow the sense of school community as the school itself grew.   It provides  a variety of activities aimed towards engaging parents and students and bringing the school closer together.

All ISB parents are welcome to join!!   Membership in the PA is open to all parents and carers of current ISB students.  There are no dues or obligations.  To join simply send in this form, and you will be added to the membership.  You may get involved as little or as much as you like.  You can volunteer to help with a particular event or you can join the Board and participate in a more structured way.

Being active in the PA is a great way to get to know other parents, make friends and become more comfortable and settled. We have all been new at some point and know that changing location and school is not only tough for children but also for their families.  There are a variety of activities to participate in, such as regular coffee mornings featuring guest speakers, quiz nights, organized city walks and an annual dinner dance.  The PA strives to make our events as informal as possible.  We all have busy lives and the point is to add fun not stress!

Class Parents The PA has a network of Class Parents (CP) who are an extension of the PA at the classroom level.  Class Parents are part of creating a social network amongst the parents, by keeping parents updated on PA activities and providing a contact at the class level. Each class should have one CP, who will introduce him/herself at the beginning of the school year.  If you have given permission to share your contact details with the PA the CP will contact you as a new family.  If you are not sure whether you have given permission please click the “Get in Touch”  button below to send a note to the PA to find out.

How the PA works with the Division Council

As the school has evolved over the years, so has the PA's role.  Whereas the PA once served in an advisory role, it now focuses on social activities in order to build and foster effective relationships across the ISB community.  

The newly launched Division Council is a completely separate entity from the PA.  The Division Council is an official body of elected representatives from staff, parents and students, now handles this advisory role for certain areas of school vision and planning.  To get in touch with someone on the Divisions Council click here.​
